IPTV Smarters Pro Windows: Install and Sign In on a PC

A desktop monitor in a home office at night showing a studio news programme

IPTV Smarters Pro on Windows works much as it does on a TV box: you install the desktop app, sign in with the Xtream username, password and server URL from your subscription, and get the same Live TV, Movies and Series sections on your PC. The tricky part is getting a genuine installer, because the app is not, as far as we can find, listed in the Microsoft Store, and copies of old versions sit on download sites. This guide covers a safe install on Windows 10 and 11, the sign-in, what the desktop version does, the usual problems and the alternatives.

Where to download IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows

Download it only from the Smarters developer’s own website. The picture has shifted lately: the website that used to host the older Windows installer was not loading when we last checked, and the current Smarters Pro website lists a Windows build, an .exe installer marked as a beta at the time of writing. Its download button may open a file-sharing page rather than start the download straight away; that is how the developer hosts the file.

Avoid the alternatives that appear in search results:

  • Download portals that host old copies of the installer, sometimes wrapped in extra software.
  • “Cracked” or “premium unlocked” versions, which come from unknown builders and cannot be updated.
  • Any site that asks you to install a download manager or browser extension before you get the file.

If a page selling IPTV offers its own “Smarters for Windows” download, do not install it. The player should come from its developer; your provider only sends the login. We never send app installers, only the login and the steps.

Install it on Windows 10 or 11

  1. Download the installer

From the downloads section of the developer’s website, choose the Windows version and save the .exe file to your Downloads folder.

  2. Scan the file

Right-click the file and scan it with Microsoft Defender (on Windows 11, look under Show more options). A clean result is a good start, but it says nothing about where the file came from, which is why the source matters.

  3. Run the installer

Double-click the file. Windows may show a blue box saying it protected your PC, because the app is new or not widely downloaded. Only if the file came from the developer’s own page, choose More info › Run anyway.

  4. Finish the setup

Follow the installer’s prompts. When it finishes, open IPTV Smarters Pro from the Start menu or the desktop shortcut.

Sign in with Xtream Codes API

A PC makes the login easy, because you can copy and paste every field from WhatsApp on the same screen instead of typing with a remote.

  1. Choose the Xtream login

On the first screen, choose the option to log in with Xtream Codes API. If your version only offers a playlist or URL option, paste our M3U link there instead.

  2. Fill in the fields

Any name for the profile, such as Study PC, then the username, password and server URL from our message. The server URL starts with http:// and ends with the port number, with no slash after it.

  3. Check for stray spaces

Pasting from a chat sometimes adds a space at the end of a field, which is enough to make the login fail. Click at the end of each field and delete anything after the last character.

  4. Add the user

Click Add User and give the first load time to bring in the channels, the film and series library and the guide. Later starts are quicker.

What each field means, and why the app needs a subscription at all, is set out on our IPTV Smarters Pro subscription page.

What the desktop version gives you

The Windows app follows the same layout as the TV and phone versions, so anyone who uses Smarters elsewhere in the house will find their way around:

  • Live TV with channel groups and a guide showing what is on now and next.
  • Movies and Series with posters, descriptions and seasons, drawn from the 120,000+ titles in our library.
  • Catch-up on channels that keep an archive, where the version supports it.
  • Search and favourites, which matter more than anything else on a list of 25,000+ channels.
  • Full screen on a double-click, and a window you can drag to a second monitor.

A beta build may offer fewer settings than the Android version and can change between updates. Check the settings menu after each update rather than relying on a list written for another platform.

Testing the same channel in another player is the quickest way to tell an app fault from a stream fault. If it plays in VLC but not in Smarters, the problem is the app or its settings; if it fails in both, message us with the channel name.

Alternatives on a Windows PC

  • VLC: free and quick to check a login with the M3U link, but no proper guide or catch-up. Using VLC as an IPTV player shows how.
  • Kodi with the PVR IPTV Simple Client: free, with a full guide grid, at the cost of a longer setup.
  • MyIPTV Player: a Microsoft Store player that takes an M3U link. Availability and features change, so check the current listing.
  • TiviMate: there is no Windows version. Microsoft withdrew its own Android app support for Windows 11 in 2025, so running TiviMate on a PC now means a third-party Android emulator, which is heavy and awkward with a mouse; the TiviMate guide explains the caveats.

The best IPTV players for Windows and Mac compares all of these side by side, with step-by-step setup for VLC and Kodi.

Your PC and your plan’s screens

A computer counts as a screen while it plays, exactly like a TV. Two Smarters windows, or one PC playing while the living-room stick plays, use two screens. If that happens often in your home, a two- or three-screen plan avoids interruptions, and every plan and price is published. To try Smarters on your PC before paying, ask for the 24-hour free trial: the login arrives on WhatsApp, ready to paste.

Short answers on this topic

Is IPTV Smarters Pro in the Microsoft Store?

As far as we can find, not under the Smarters developer's name. The Windows version is downloaded from the developer's own website as an .exe installer, marked as a beta at the time of writing. Listings with similar names in the Microsoft Store or on download portals may come from other publishers, so check who made them before installing anything.

Is IPTV Smarters Pro for Windows free?

The app itself is free to download and use. Some Smarters editions offer an optional paid upgrade inside the app, which goes to the developer and unlocks player features only. It carries no channels: you need an IPTV subscription and its Xtream login before it shows anything. Never pay a third party for a Windows copy of the app.

Does IPTV Smarters Pro work on Windows 11?

Yes, the current desktop build installs on Windows 10 and Windows 11. On Windows 11 the SmartScreen warning is common for new apps, and the scan option sits under Show more options in the right-click menu. If an older copy misbehaves, uninstall it completely before installing the latest build from the developer's own website.

Can I use the same Smarters login on my PC and my TV?

Yes. The same Xtream username, password and server URL work in Smarters on Windows, on a Firestick and on a phone. Installing it on several devices costs nothing; only the streams playing at the same moment count towards your plan's screens. If the PC and the TV often play together, choose a plan with at least two screens.

Why does Windows block the IPTV Smarters Pro installer?

Usually because SmartScreen does not yet recognise the file, which is common for new or beta apps, and it shows a warning rather than a verdict. If you downloaded it from the developer's own page, choose More info and Run anyway. If your antivirus names an actual threat instead, delete the file and download it again from the developer only.
