Premium IPTV channels in the UK line-up
Premium channels, IPTV style: the line-up category by category, from UK entertainment and news to films, documentaries, kids and sport, and how the TV guide shows it.

Premium channels on IPTV UK Station are not a paid extra: the film, sport and entertainment channels that usually sit in a top-tier TV package are part of the same 25,000+ line-up on every plan. Below is how the IPTV channels in our UK line-up are laid out in your player, what each group holds, and how to check your own must-have channels before you pay.
How the channel list is organised in your player
When you sign in, your player downloads the line-up as a set of groups, which some players call categories. Each group works like a folder: open it and you see its channels, with the TV guide alongside. Group names follow the line-up and change from time to time, but the order stays broadly the same:
- The UK groups: entertainment, news, documentaries, kids, film, sport, music and regional channels.
- The premium groups: film, sport and entertainment channels of the kind normally sold as a package upgrade.
- The 4K group, for channels whose source is 4K.
- The international groups, from 60+ countries.
- Films and series on demand, kept in their own sections rather than among the channels.
In TiviMate the groups run down the left of the channel list; in IPTV Smarters Pro they appear as categories when you open Live TV. The layout differs from player to player, but the groups themselves are the same in each.
This page describes categories rather than channel names, because a list of names goes out of date quickly. The free trial shows the current line-up in full, in your own player, which is the only list worth trusting.
The UK channel groups
- Entertainment. The general channels most homes put on in the evening: drama, soaps, comedy, quiz and game shows, reality formats and big Saturday-night programmes.
- News. UK rolling news and current affairs, the channels people leave on in the background all day.
- Documentaries. History, science, nature, travel and true crime, from single films to long series.
- Kids. Channels from pre-school cartoons up to programmes for older children.
- Film. Film channels across genres, from new releases to classics, alongside the on-demand library.
- Sport. Live matches and events, studio shows and sport news across football, rugby, cricket, racing, golf, boxing and more.
- Music. Music video and chart channels.
- Regional. Regional versions of the main UK channels, where the line-up carries them, with their own local news slots.
Premium film, sport and entertainment channels
Below the everyday UK groups sit the premium groups: the film, sport and entertainment channels that normally sit behind a subscription tier or an add-on in a satellite or cable package. Here there are no tiers. Every plan, from a single month at £15 to a year on five screens, opens every group, so the choice you make is about length and screens, never about which channels you unlock.
Premium sport and film are also where most 4K feeds come from. Where a channel has a 4K source, its 4K feed is gathered in the 4K group. If the 4K feed stutters on your line, look for the same channel in its usual group in FHD or HD, which needs far less broadband. What 4K needs at home covers the TV, device and broadband side.
International channels from 60+ countries
After the UK and premium groups come the international groups, organised by country or language, from 60+ countries in all. They suit households that want news from home, films in another language or sport from a league abroad, and they sit in the same line-up on every plan.
TV guide coverage on the international groups varies from country to country. If you never watch them, hide them: most players let you choose which groups to show, which makes every list far shorter to scroll.

Finding a channel quickly
With 25,000+ channels, scrolling is the slowest way to find anything. Three tools do the job better:
- Search. Every main player has one; type part of the channel’s name. In TiviMate it sits in the side menu, and in IPTV Smarters Pro there is a search icon inside Live TV. Menu names vary between versions.
- Favourites. Build a short list of the channels you really watch. In TiviMate, long-press OK on a channel and add it to favourites; in Smarters, use the favourite option on the channel.
- The TV guide. The grid shows what is on now and next across a whole group, which is often quicker than flicking through channels one by one.
Hiding the groups you never use shortens every list. The TiviMate setup guide shows where the group and favourites settings sit.
Catch-up markers and the TV guide
The TV guide (EPG) loads with your login in most players and fills the grid for the channels that publish listings. Channels that keep an archive carry a catch-up marker, usually a small clock or rewind icon beside the channel or the programme. In players that support catch-up, select a programme that has already aired and the player offers to play it from the start. How many days back you can go depends on the channel.
Why the line-up changes
No IPTV line-up stands still, ours included. Broadcasters launch, close and rename channels, move them between packages and change the feeds they supply, and the list in your player follows. A channel can move to another group, take a new name or, now and then, disappear. We do not promise that any channel stays for a set period, and a seller who does is promising something nobody controls.
Most players pick up changes when they refresh the playlist, either on a schedule or from the settings. If a favourite stops working after a change, remove it and add the channel again from its new place.
Check your must-have channels during the trial
- Write down the five or six channels you would miss most.
- Find each one during the free trial, using search, and add it to your favourites.
- Watch each one at the hour you normally would, especially sport and film channels on a busy evening.
- Open the TV guide for those channels, and try catch-up where they show the marker.
- If one seems to be missing, ask on WhatsApp; we can tell you whether it is in the line-up and where it sits.
If everything you need is there and stable, the IPTV subscription plans start at £15. If something misbehaves, the help centre covers the usual fixes, and our IPTV service, feature by feature explains what comes with the line-up besides the channels.
IPTV channel questions
Can I see the full IPTV channel list before I subscribe?
Yes, in your own player: the free trial login opens every group, every channel and the TV guide, exactly as a paying account sees them. That is more useful than a printed list, because line-ups change. If you want to know about one particular channel before asking for a trial, ask on WhatsApp and we will tell you whether it is in the line-up.
Are premium sport and film channels an extra cost?
No. There are no channel tiers or add-ons here. The premium film, sport and entertainment groups come with every plan, from a single month on one screen to a year on five, along with the 4K group and the 120,000+ films and series. The price changes only with the length of the plan and the number of screens.
Do you have channels in other languages?
Yes. Beyond the UK groups, the line-up has international groups from 60+ countries, organised by country or language, with news, entertainment, film and sport. TV guide coverage on those groups varies from country to country. If you need a particular country, check its group during the 24-hour trial, at the times you would normally watch.
Can I hide the channel groups I never watch?
In most players, yes. TiviMate lets you choose which groups to show when you add the playlist and change the choice later in the playlist settings, and IPTV Smarters Pro and others have similar options; menu names vary between versions. Hiding the groups you do not use, and building a favourites list, turns 25,000+ channels into a list you can scroll in seconds.
Why has a channel disappeared from my list?
Usually because the line-up changed: a broadcaster renamed or moved the channel, or its feed was replaced, so it now sits in another group or under a new name. Refresh the playlist in your player and search for it. If it still does not appear, ask on WhatsApp. Single channels can come and go, which is why no plan promises any one of them.
