The IPTV Smarters download code is a short number you type into the Downloader app on a Firestick, so it fetches IPTV Smarters Pro without you spelling out a long web address with the remote. Below: what that code really is, why the safe one comes with your login rather than from a web page, the install on a Fire TV Stick and on an Android TV box, and the login screen field by field.
What a Downloader code is
Downloader, the free app by AFTVnews, has an address box that also accepts short numeric codes. Each code is a shortcut made with the AFTVnews link shortener: behind the number sits a full download address, and Downloader looks it up and opens it for you. It saves typing a long address one letter at a time.
Nobody checks those codes. Anyone can create one for any address, the Smarters developer does not control which codes point to its app, and when a file moves, an old code can lead nowhere or to an out-of-date copy.
Why we never print a code here
A number printed on a web page today can be stale next month, and the page cannot tell you so. Copycat files also circulate under the Smarters name, some carrying advertising or worse, and a short code is an easy way to pass one around. Video descriptions and forum posts are where most of them come from.
So the current code, or the plain download address, reaches you with your login on WhatsApp, checked on the day we send it. If you would rather fetch the app yourself, take the download address from the Smarters developer’s own website and type it into Downloader in full.
Safe-install checklist
- The code or address came from us or from the developer’s own website, nowhere else.
- Downloader’s redirect notice shows the address you expected; if it shows something else, press back.
- If a page full of adverts opens instead of a download, or you are asked to install another app first, stop.
- The Fire OS installer names the app before you select Install.
- On first launch the app asks only for your login: never card details, a phone number or a payment.
- Once the app is installed, you delete the installation file.
Install IPTV Smarters Pro on a Firestick
If Downloader is not on your stick yet, or Developer options are still hidden, do the first three steps of the Firestick setup guide before you start. They take a few minutes and only need doing once.
Open Downloader
Launch Downloader and stay on the Home tab. Select the address box so the on-screen keyboard opens.
Type the code or address we sent
Type the code digit by digit, or the full address, and select Go. Downloader shows a short notice with the address the code leads to: compare it with the one in our message before the download starts.
Install and delete the file
When the download ends, select Install, then Done. Back in Downloader, choose Delete and confirm, so the installation file stops taking up storage.
Open the app and accept the terms
Find IPTV Smarters Pro at the end of your apps, open it and accept the terms of use. It then shows the screen for adding a user, described below.
Install it on an Android TV or Google TV box
On a box with Google Play, search the Play Store first. The Smarters developer currently lists its apps under shorter names such as Smarters Pro, and the store also holds many look-alikes with similar names and icons from other developers. Compare the developer name on the listing with the one on the developer’s own website before you select Install.
If the Play Store has no matching version for your box, install Downloader by AFTVnews from the Play Store and follow the Firestick steps above. Android TV asks you to allow Downloader to install apps, usually under Settings › Apps › Security & restrictions › Unknown sources; menu names vary between versions.
The login screen, field by field
After the terms of use, choose Add user if asked, then Login with Xtream Codes API. This option loads live channels, films, series and the TV guide in one go. Some builds word the choices slightly differently, but the Xtream option always asks for the same four fields.

Select Add user. The app downloads the channel list, films and series, which takes a minute or two on a long list, then opens its home screen. If it reports invalid details, compare each field with our message, character by character. Smarters also has a playlist option for the M3U link, but the Xtream login gives cleaner film and series sections.
Copy rather than type where you can. On a phone, long-press the login in our WhatsApp message to copy it; on a Firestick, the Fire TV app on your phone can act as a keyboard, which saves a lot of mistakes with the remote.
The main screens
- Live TV: channel groups on the left, channels in the middle and a small preview, with the UK groups at the top of the 25,000+-channel list. Long-press a channel to add it to favourites.
- Movies and Series: the 120,000+-title library, sorted into categories. Series open by season and episode, and the app remembers where you stopped.
- Catch up: channels that keep an archive. Pick the channel, then the day and the programme that already aired.
- TV guide (EPG): a grid of what is on now and next. If it is empty after the first login, use the install or refresh option for the guide on the home screen and give it a few minutes.
- Multi-screen: several channels side by side on one TV. Each window plays its own stream and counts as a screen on your plan.
Settings worth changing
Open the settings (the gear icon on the home screen). Menu names vary between versions, but these are the ones that matter.
- Player settings: Smarters has its own player and can hand streams to another one. If a channel plays sound with no picture, switch between hardware and software decoding here before anything else.
- EPG time shift: if the guide is an hour out, usually after the clocks change, set the shift here so programme times match the clock.
- Stream format: the default works for most channels. If channels stutter or refuse to open, try the other format offered (TS or HLS) and test again.
- Automation: lets the app refresh channels and the guide when it starts, so new channels and times appear without a manual refresh.
- Parental control: a PIN that locks chosen groups, useful on a family TV.
Several users in one app
The List users screen holds more than one profile. You can add the same login twice under different names, so each person keeps their own favourites, or add a second login if the house has two accounts. Switching profile takes two clicks from the home screen.
Profiles do not change how many screens play at once: that is set by your plan, whichever profile is playing. Other devices and common faults

Where do I get the current IPTV Smarters Downloader code?
From us, with your login on WhatsApp. We check the code or the download address on the day we send it, because codes go stale and copies circulate. You can also take the download address from the Smarters developer's own website and type it into Downloader in full. Avoid codes found in videos, comments or forums: nobody checks where they lead.
Why is the Downloader code for Smarters not working?
Usually one of three things: a digit typed wrongly, a code that no longer points to a file, or a stick without enough storage to save the download. Retype the code slowly, then check the free space under Settings › My Fire TV › About › Storage. If Downloader still shows an error, message us and we send a fresh code or the full address.
Do I have to pay for IPTV Smarters Pro?
The app is free to install. Some versions show adverts or offer an optional paid upgrade from the developer, which adds features, not channels. What you watch comes from your subscription login, so the app alone shows nothing. Any upgrade is bought inside the app from its developer, separately from what you pay us.
Can I use the same Smarters login on a Firestick and a phone?
Yes. Install the app on both and sign in with the same Xtream details. The login works on as many of your devices as you like; your plan sets how many can play at the same moment. Remember that the multi-screen view counts each window as a screen, so a one-screen plan plays one window at a time.
Why is the TV guide in IPTV Smarters an hour out?
Usually because the clocks changed between GMT and British Summer Time and the guide offset did not follow. Open the app's settings and adjust the EPG time shift by one hour, then refresh the guide. Also check that the device's own date, time and time zone are set to automatic, since a wrong device clock shifts every programme.
