The TiviMate Downloader code is a short number you type into the Downloader app on a Fire TV Stick so that it fetches the TiviMate installer for you, instead of making you spell out a long web address with the remote. TiviMate is not in the Amazon Appstore, so on a Firestick this is how most people install it. This guide explains what the code really is, why the numbers passed around online go stale, where to get the current one safely, and the full install from start to finish.
We never print a Downloader code on this website. Codes change and copies circulate, so a number written in an article can lead somewhere else a few weeks later. When you order or ask for a free trial, we send the current code with your login on WhatsApp.
What a Downloader code actually is
Downloader is a free app made by AFTVnews and listed in the Amazon Appstore. It has a box where you type a web address, and that box also accepts short numeric codes. Each code is a shortcut made with the AFTVnews link shortener: behind the number sits an ordinary web address, and Downloader simply opens it.
So the code is not a licence key, a password or anything that belongs to TiviMate. It is a bookmark that somebody created. If the address behind it leads to an installer file, Downloader downloads the file and offers to install it. If it leads to a web page, Downloader shows the page in its built-in browser.
That has one practical consequence: a code is only as trustworthy as the person who made it. A code published by the app’s developer opens the developer’s file. A code made by a stranger opens whatever that stranger chose, and they can change it later.
Why TiviMate codes change and copies circulate
Search for a TiviMate code and you will find a different number on almost every blog, video and forum thread. Most were created by whoever wrote that page, not by the developer, and many are years old. Here is what goes wrong with them:
- The file behind the code moves. If the installer it pointed to is deleted or renamed, the code leads to an error page.
- The code is deleted. Short links can be removed by their creator, and an old number may simply stop working.
- The file is an old version. An installer saved on a third-party site stays frozen at the version it was on the day someone uploaded it.
- The file is a modified copy. Some codes lead to “unlocked” or “mod” builds with Premium switched on. They come from unknown builders, can carry adware, break when the real app updates, and take money away from the developer who maintains TiviMate.
None of this is visible from the number itself. That is why where the code comes from matters far more than the code.
Where to get the current TiviMate code safely
There are two sources we trust, and you only need one of them.
With your login, from us
Every login we send on WhatsApp comes with the setup steps for the device you named. For a Firestick, that includes the current Downloader code or address for your player, checked on the day we send it. If you set up again months later, on a new stick or after a reset, ask in the same chat and we send the code that is current then.
From the TiviMate developer’s own website
The download section of TiviMate’s own website shows a Downloader code and, beside it, a short web address that does exactly the same job. Typing that address instead of the number is perfectly fine, and it removes any doubt about where the file comes from. The developer also notes that this direct version checks for updates by itself.
Wherever you read a code, prefer one that is shown next to the address it opens. Ignore numbers posted in comment sections, video descriptions, or by sellers you have never dealt with.
Check that your Fire TV can install TiviMate
Not every Fire TV runs the same software any more. The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and some of Amazon’s newest sticks run Vega OS instead of the Android-based Fire OS. Vega OS installs apps from the Appstore only: Downloader is not available on it, and TiviMate cannot be installed at all.
To check, open Settings › My Fire TV › About and look at the software version line. If it reads Fire OS followed by a number, carry on. If the words Fire OS are missing, the stick runs Vega OS. In that case see which IPTV apps work on each Fire TV, or use a Google TV device, where TiviMate installs straight from the Play Store.
Install TiviMate with Downloader, step by step

The whole job takes about ten minutes, most of it spent on settings you only change once. Our Firestick setup guide shows the same steps with more detail on each Fire TV menu.
Install Downloader
On the Fire TV home screen, open Find › Search, type Downloader and install the app by AFTVnews, the one with the orange icon. It costs nothing.
Turn on Developer options
Go to Settings › My Fire TV › About, highlight the device name at the top of the list and press the select button seven times, until a message says you are now a developer. Press Back once and Developer options appears in the My Fire TV menu.
Allow Downloader to install apps
Open Settings › My Fire TV › Developer options › Install unknown apps and switch Downloader to On. On older Fire OS versions the setting is called Apps from Unknown Sources and covers every app at once.
Type the code or the address
Open Downloader and allow access to files if it asks. On the Home tab, select the address box, type the current code we sent or the developer’s short address, and press Go. Check each digit before pressing Go: one wrong digit opens somebody else’s link.
Install the file
The download takes a few seconds on a normal connection. When Fire OS asks whether you want to install TiviMate, choose Install, then Done rather than Open.
Delete the installer
Downloader then offers to delete the file it fetched. Choose Delete, then Delete again. TiviMate is already installed, and a Firestick plays more smoothly with free storage.
Open TiviMate and add your login
Open TiviMate from the Apps icon on the home screen, choose Add playlist and enter your Xtream details or M3U link. Our TiviMate setup guide goes through the playlist, the TV guide and favourites screen by screen.
When the TiviMate code does not work
Most failures come down to a handful of causes. Work down this table before trying any other number you find online.
| What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| An error page or “not found” | A digit typed wrong, or the code was deleted | Retype it slowly. If it still fails, ask us for the current code or type the developer’s short address |
| A web page opens instead of a download | The code points to a page, not to the installer | Do not install anything offered by an unknown page. Use the code we send or the developer’s address |
| “App not installed” | An older TiviMate from another source is already on the stick | Uninstall it in Settings › Applications › Manage Installed Applications, then install again and re-add the playlist |
| The download stops or the install fails half way | Storage is nearly full | Clear the cache of large apps, remove apps you no longer use, and delete old files in Downloader’s Files section |
| Fire OS refuses to install from Downloader | Install unknown apps is still off for Downloader | Repeat step 3 and check the switch next to Downloader is On |
| A message says the install is blocked | An out-of-date Fire OS build | Check for an update in Settings › My Fire TV › About, restart the stick and try again. If it persists, message us |
| Downloader is not in the Appstore | The stick runs Vega OS | TiviMate will not install on it; use a Fire OS or Google TV device |
If TiviMate installs but then says the login was refused, the code did its job and the problem is in the playlist details: TiviMate error 401 explains how to find the typo or expired login behind it.
After installing: updates, Premium and your login
The copy from the developer’s own address tells you when a newer version is ready, so you do not need a fresh code for every update. If you installed a copy from elsewhere and it never offers an update, uninstall it and reinstall from the developer’s file.
TiviMate is free to install. Its paid Premium upgrade is sold only by the developer, mainly through the TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone, and it unlocks features in the player rather than channels. TiviMate Premium against the free version sets out what changes and who needs it.
The player still needs a subscription before it shows anything. Ours signs in to TiviMate with the Xtream login or M3U link we send, with 25,000+ live channels and a TV guide behind it. All plans and prices are published, and the 24-hour trial installs in exactly the same way, so you can test the whole setup before paying.
Short answers on this topic
Is there a working TiviMate Downloader code right now?
Yes, but we deliberately do not print it, because codes change and old numbers end up opening other files. We send the current code with your login on WhatsApp, checked on the day we send it. TiviMate's own website also shows its current code next to a short web address, and typing that address works just as well as the number.
Can I install TiviMate on a Firestick without a code?
Yes. A code is only a shortcut to a web address, so you can type the address itself into Downloader's address box and get the same installer. The short address on TiviMate's own website is the easiest one to type. Either way, the stick must run Fire OS: sticks on Vega OS cannot install TiviMate at all.
Why does Downloader say the TiviMate code is not found?
Usually a digit was typed wrong, or the code has been deleted by whoever created it. Retype it slowly first. If the error stays, the code is no longer valid, so ask us for the current one on WhatsApp or type the short address from the developer's website. Avoid trying random numbers from videos or forums until one works.
Is a TiviMate APK from a random code safe to install?
Not necessarily. Anyone can create a Downloader code and point it at any file, including old versions or modified builds with Premium switched on, which can carry adware and stop working after updates. Install only from a code we send or from the developer's own address, and uninstall any copy that came from an unknown source.
Do I need a new TiviMate code every time the app updates?
No. The version installed from the developer's own address checks for updates by itself and offers the newer version inside the app. You only need a code again when you set up a new stick, reset the old one to factory settings, or replace a copy that came from somewhere else.
